What exactly is DSIP, and why do research programs pick the 5mg tier?

DSIP (delta-sleep-inducing peptide) is a naturally occurring nonapeptide with the sequence Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu, first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood and studied in pre-clinical slow-wave-sleep modulation models. The 5mg per vial tier fits the small working-solution volumes typical of DSIP protocols and reduces waste for programs still calibrating dose-response before scaling.

What does this specific lot’s CoA cover?

Every DSIP lot is independently assayed by reverse-phase HPLC for purity and by mass-spectrometry for identity against the theoretical mass of the nine-residue sequence. Lot-specific certificates of analysis are being catalogued and will be publicly listed on the product page as they come online.

How do I reconstitute a 5mg DSIP vial?

  1. Sanitise the vial stopper with an alcohol swab and let it dry.
  2. Draw 1 to 2 mL of bacteriostatic water into a sterile syringe.
  3. Direct the diluent stream against the inside wall of the vial rather than onto the lyophilized cake.
  4. Rock the vial slowly to dissolve. Do not shake — DSIP dissolves quickly and vigorous agitation is unnecessary.
  5. Store the reconstituted vial at 2 to 8 °C and use within 30 days.

How does DSIP differ from GABAergic sleep peptides like Selank?

DSIP acts through mechanisms that are still not fully characterised in the literature but are distinct from direct GABAergic modulation. Selank, by contrast, is a tuftsin analog studied for GABAergic anxiolytic effects that indirectly shape arousal state. Research programs interested in slow-wave-sleep architecture specifically usually reach for DSIP; programs studying anxiety-linked arousal state reach for Selank.

What handling considerations apply to a nonapeptide like DSIP?

Small linear nonapeptides are more sensitive to freeze-thaw cycling than larger backbone-stabilised peptides. Aliquot the reconstituted solution into single-use volumes at first draw, avoid room-temperature exposure beyond what is needed to work with the vial, and discard reconstituted material after 30 days at 2 to 8 °C.

What ships in the box, and how fast?

  • 10 lyophilized DSIP 5mg vials

Orders placed before 14:00 PT ship the same business day from our British Columbia facility. Canadian orders arrive in 2 to 4 business days after dispatch.

New to this peptide?

Most researchers start at ~300mcg/day, single site injection, and adjust based on their protocol. Consult published literature for your specific research goal.

How long will this last?

Assumes one dose per day. Peptides commonly dosed weekly (e.g. semaglutide, tirzepatide) will last roughly 7× longer than shown.

Frequently asked

  • Is this product for human consumption?
No. This product is sold strictly for laboratory research use only. It is not a drug, food, cosmetic, or dietary supplement and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
  • How is purity verified?
Every lot is assayed by HPLC and mass spectrometry. Lot-specific certificates of analysis are being catalogued and will be publicly listed here as they come online.
  • How is it shipped?
Ships within 1 business day from our Canadian fulfillment facility, arriving 2–4 business days after dispatch. Discreet packaging. Free shipping on Canadian orders over $300 CAD.
  • What is the shelf life of an unopened vial?
Properly stored at 2–8 °C in the original sealed vial, lyophilized peptides typically retain potency for 24 months from the date of manufacture. The expiration date is printed on each vial.

Common questions

Do I need bacteriostatic water?
Yes — reconstitution requires bacteriostatic water. We stock 30 mL bottles in the catalog; add one to your order if you don't have any on hand.
How long does shipping take?
Orders ship from our Canadian fulfillment centre within 24 hours and arrive in 2–4 business days via Canada Express Post.
What if the vial arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photograph and the lot number. We'll ship a replacement from a certified lot at no charge.
